Get Paid to Watch Warren Miller Films

Sep 24, 2007  ·  07:55 PM  ·  permalink

I just found out that at official Warren Miller screenings, they generally give away all kinds of goodies to film goers. Screenings of Miller’s newest opus Playground seem to start in October and, for instance, if you go to one of the screenings in Boulder, CO, you’ll get free lift tickets to Steamboat, Copper Mountain, and Winter Park, plus a coupon from Boulder Ski Deals and a free subscription to Skiing.

But in Seattle, you’ll receive tickets to Apex, Big White, Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Whistler, Crystal Mountain, White Pass, a $25 REI coupon, $50 to Joe’s Sports, and a subscription to Skiing. That’s pretty awesome, even if you do end up skiing in the rain.

Check the listing to find a showing near you—there’s a gazillion and it looks like tickets are about $20.

In the past, Steamboat coupons have been a rarity so going to a Boulder showing is probably worth it for that alone.

In addition to the freebies, it’s also fun to get amped for ski season with a bunch of other skiers.

Don’t go just for the freebies - the lift ticket coupons weren’t all that last year in Colorado. You could get the same deals easily elsewhere without paying for a movie. So, go to get amped up first and foremost, coupons second.

If anyone knows what this year’s coupon details, please post.
